Overview

Course name: HSPA Basics

Duration: 1 Day

Requirements: Fundamentals of 3G (CMDA, WCDMA and UMTS) or equivalent knowledge. See our Fundamentals of 3G course for more information.

Overview:  Packet data evolutions for 3G networks, namely High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) and High Speed Uplink Packet Access (HSUPA), were introduced to meet growing demands of wireless data connections for anytime-anywhere access. The purpose of this course is to cover the basics of those evolution paths, i.e., High Speed Packet Access (HSPA) or 3.5G.

Objective: After the course the trainees will have general level understanding on basic operations and features of HSPA uplink and downlink evolutions. Trainees will be available to determine differences to Rel’99 WCDMA and have clear view where HSPA evolution is heading next.
