UAV-3S project brings satellite technology to UAV use cases

Our newest project combines the great possibilities of two hot topics: unmanned aerial vehicles and satellite systems. In this ESA-funded project, Magister is the prime contractor, and subcontractors are Satellite Applications Catapult and Skyports Drone Services, both from the UK.

Verneri Rönty: There is something to learn in everything

Verneri Rönty joined Magister’s team a little over a year ago and has demonstrated his skills in several international projects. A constant desire to learn new things drives him forward in his work.

4SSTB: to create an R&D simulation tool for developing a secure independent European satellite connectivity system, funded by the European Space Agency (ESA)

Magister is proud to announce its key role in the ESA-funded 4SSTB project to provide simulation services that will allow different vendors to develop their own products e.g. within the context of IRIS2 – a secure European satellite connectivity system that is independent of others.

C-DReAM Simulator is now available at Azure Marketplace

C-DReAM is a capacity-level simulator for evaluating Non-Geostationary Satellite Orbit (NGSO, LEO and MEO) satellite systems. It was developed in European Space Agency’s C-DReAM project together with Thales Alenia Space France and enhanced it further in the DASCE project.

Magister facilitates Forsway’s comprehensive comparison of DVB/NR technologies

During the spring of 2023, Magister Solutions executed a DVB/NR technology comparison project for Forsway. The objective was to compare the DVB-S2X/RCS2 and 5G NR-NTN technologies with each other in a geostationary satellite scenario.

MARINA project compares the performance of DVB-S2x/RCS2 and 5G-NR NTN

The comparison of DVB-S2X/RCS2 and 5G-NR NTN technologies has become a highly relevant and debated topic in broadband satellite communication. MARINA project is addressing this subject.

HELENA project – when the sky is no longer the limit for 5G

HELENA project will foster the development of enhancements to the NTN standard to improve the service experience, address new bands, and support new use cases.

5G-SPECTRA: Satellite Performance Evaluation for Coexistence with Terrestrial Radio Applications

In answer to the European Space Agency’s (ESA) invitation to tender looking into the radio specification studies for 5G non-terrestrial networks (NTNs), 5G-SPECTRA is a project that is undertaken by Magister Solutions in partnership with Satellite Applications Catapult and the University of Surrey in England.

DYNASAT will showcase its live demonstrations at MWC 2023, the world’s largest and most influential connectivity event.

As part of the DYNASAT Consortium, Magister will be participating in this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona from February 27 to March 2 – the world’s largest and most influential connectivity event. We will be contributing by demonstrating and providing first-hand information at booth 5H80 in two of the four demos DYNASAT will […]
