Simulator for evaluating control planes in NGSO constellations

NTN-CPD: Simulator for evaluating control planes in NGSO constellations

In the NTN-CPD project, we extended the ALIX simulator to support the analysis of NGSO constellation control planes. The new capabilities enable detailed evaluation of dynamic satellite constellations and protocols, supporting 3GPP-specified NTN system architectures as well as both transparent and regenerative satellite systems.

NRT simulator for LEO satellite constellations

4SSTB: Non-real-time simulator for LEO satellite constellations

In the 4SSTB project, Magister and VTT developed a non-real-time (NRT) simulator for LEO satellite constellations to support European satellite research initiatives like IRIS². The simulator models entire constellations and their traffic scenarios, enabling performance evaluation and providing insights for 5G standardization.

UAV-3S: Developing system simulator towards UAV SatCom use cases

In the UAV-3S project, Magister extended the C-DReAM simulator to support UAV SatCom use cases, including the development and evaluation of UAV satellite terminals. The simulator enables analysis of UAV satellite terminal requirements across different UAV systems, helping improve communication reliability in challenging environments and supporting the future development of UAV satellite services.

5G-SPECTRA: Simulation tools for evaluating TN/NTN coexistence

In the 5G-SPECTRA project, we developed simulation tools to evaluate TN/NTN coexistence and define constraints for avoiding performance degradation, collaborating with Satellite Applications Catapult and the University of Surrey. Magister simulated FR1 and FR2 scenarios for IoT and directional terminals.
